crooked little smile

could neva resist
her crooked little smile
wicked and toothy
like a crocodile’s
long brown legs
how slowly they'd spread
her sugary nectar controllin’ my head
saw sex in her grin
ecstasy in her kiss
in her embrace i found rapture
neva could i resist
her crooked little smile
and infectious laugh
if i gave her an inch
she took a mile and a half
under her spell
guess i’ll neva learn
follow her into hell
it’d be better to burn
than try and resist
that crooked little smile
why must you insist
on drivin’ me wild?
seductive and charming
disarming and sweet
lord knows i’m a sucker
for those pretty feet
and those long brown legs
and big round behind
her sweet sticky nectar affectin’ my mind
that crafty and wily
crooked little smile
with the devious, mischievous,
innocence of a child
from her eyes to her lips
her thighs to her hips
will i ever wake up?
and wise up to her tricks?
how hard to resist
that crooked little smile
a curse and gift
a test and trial
i often reminisce
as i sit for awhile
do i really miss
that crooked little smile?

Ah, the memories of being caught out there. What a beautiful description of your experience.

royce - not sure what that means..but okay!

blu - thanks, blu. its not really about any one particular experience i've had, its more about how sometimes we have trouble letting let things go. even when they are bad for us, and we know it, its still difficult to shake whatever hold they have on us.

@Blu...funny that you found it a beautiful description. Well it is because it is a great description but I got a feeling of wanting to be free...free from the hold this person has on you.

I'm sure that there is another side to that crooked smile. I hope it didn't bite you. :-)

p - always a flip-side to every coin, right? i believe the inspiration for that poem came from a situation a friend of mine is going through right now. that crooked smile i'm referring to is to them probably something completely different but still it is something they are unable to resist and/or let go of right now.
